The Number 34 Day Treatment and Mentoring Programs are designed to empower at-risk youth in our community to make positive life choices that enable them to maximize their personal potential at home, in school, and in the community.

It is the goal of Number 34 to provide a safe environment for at-risk youth. Studies have shown the following:

There is a four times greater chance of becoming a victim of violent crime during after school hours.
Juvenile crime triples when the school bell rings at the end of the day.
Unsupervised children are three times more likely to become teen parents.
Children left unsupervised for eleven or more hours per week have twice the risk of substance abuse than those under adult supervision.

Number 34 envisions a community in which every youth experiences nurturing one-to-one relationships and community support, which in turn allows each of them to develop into their full potential - capable of
making informed, responsible decisions.
