Day Treatment
The goal of day treatment is to assist in keeping adolescent youth in the community who are at risk of being placed out of the home and to provide the youth and their families the necessary tools to be productive members of the community. 

Education:  
APEX Learning Distance Education School is available to middle school and high school age youth at Number 34. It is an accredited online curriculum featuring three areas of need: 
        1. College Prep
        2. General Education
        3. Credit Make-up or Recovery
All three curriculums are credit transferable. Courses available include Fundamental Math; Algebra I and II; Geometry; English I, II, and III; Earth Science; Spanish and French; Geography; US and World History; Health and Economics; Music and Physical Education.    

Life Skills: Number 34 uses the Responsibility & Independence Scale for Adolescents (RISA) to assess the needs of individual life-skills for at-risk youth and youth in the Juvenile Justice system. Individualized life-skills activities including money management, citizenship, career development, self-management, citizenship, career development, self-management, social maturity and social communication are facilitated by staff at Number 34.

Counseling/Therapy: Number 34 contracts with counseling and therapy services through New Hope Counseling. New Hope provides individual, family, and group counseling.

Family Involvement: Number 34 conducts monthly progress meetings with the youth and his/her parent(s) and/or guardians. Family fun nights will be arranged to include all the members of the youth's family. Number 34 staff also assists the families in arranging family-planned activities away from the Number 34 facility.
